CNO, Inc. is a privately held S-Corp based in Southwest Florida. We offer affordable expert training as well as varied essential consulting and communication services to any business or organization. All of our instructors, keynote speakers, facilitators, and consultants have been carefully selected and meet the highest standards and are sought after subject-matter-experts. Through our partnering network, we are able to meet and support our nationwide and global clients.

Cheryl Vanande Bio

President

 

Cheryl Vanande has 25 years of experience in training, development, and human resources management.  She is the President of CNO, Inc. a nationwide provider of training, consulting, and publishing services with a primary division called MCC Training (from Management Communications Consultants).  MCC is a long- established quality provider of communications seminars and consulting services credited with having helped more than 60 organizations nationwide.

 

Prior to establishing CNO, Inc., Cheryl served as Manager of Training and Organizational Development for 10 of her 12-year relationship with Charlotte County’s Board of County Commissioners (BCC), headquartered in Port Charlotte, FL. In addition, Cheryl is an active unrestricted-line Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve (commissioned in 1987).  

 

Her educational background includes a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University (2003), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Iowa (1982).

Cheryl’s expertise extends to teaching nearly 70 courses specializing in Personnel Proficiency, Professional Development, Organizational Training, Coaching and Facilitation.

 

Other points of interest: she is a professional public speaker and a founding member of Charlotte County’s Toastmasters Club, a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the Society of Human Resources Management, the American Society of Public Administrators, the Florida Public Personnel Association, and the American Red Cross.

 

 
MCC Training
 
MCC Training was acquired in March of 2007 and is now whole-owned by CNO, Inc.  Since that time we are welcoming past MCC clients with special support. We continue to actively serve businesses, non-profit organizations, and government offices or agencies by offering a wide range of business writing seminars, from basic grammar and punctuation to writing and publishing policies and procedures.
